PIC OF ME AS CATWOMAN AND OTHER RANDOM NEWS
Okay, I hope to have more pictures, but for now here is a self portrait of myself as Catwoman taken with my new camera phone:
I didn't think it was too bad for a camera phone picture, anyhow.
I'm still not completely over being sick. Whatever I had was a doozy this time around. I had not had my whole body hurt like that in a long time. Most of it was from coughing so hard. At some points, it even hurt to breathe. A few nights I slept maybe 2 hours at the most and still went to work the next day. I managed to use up the rest of my sick days, so I just had to go in anyhow. Friday night and most of Saturday, I slept. I think I slept 12 straight hours without moving, so I know I probably needed it.
I still feel a bit weak and don't have a lot of energy. Doing things takes a good bit out of me. But I'm better, so I can only hope that means it will get even better from here. At our work, we can pick a floating holiday to take off that we normally don't get off. I had decided a long time back to take Halloween, especially since it fell on a Monday. Everyone looks for days that fall on Friday or Monday. So I don't have to work tomorrow, which will give me another day to rest up a bit.
Today, we decided to go see "Saw II" at the movie theatre. The idea was we were all going to wear costumes or masks at the least. I got the mask of that creepy puppet from "Saw" and hubby was going to wear that. We have a box that changes your voice as well and he had practiced hiding it on him and under the mask. Anyhow, when our other friend got here, he didn't want to do the costume/mask thing really, so it was just hubby and I. I was Catwoman, as you can see. When we got to the theatre, hubby decided he wasn't going to wear his mask either, so it was just me left. I thought about not wearing my mask, but here I am, already dressed up in a catsuit and boots, which I normally wouldn't have worn to the movies. So I decided to wear the rest of it and kept the gloves, mask, belt and whip with me. The way I figured it was that no one at the movies would know who I am anyhow and I wasn't going to take the mask off while I was there. So I sat through the whole movie wearing the mask. It was funny because people did a double take several times whenever they'd look my way. I got a few "great costume", "love the costume" comments on the way out of the theatre. Still, I would have loved to have heard the comments or seen the looks if hubby had worn that creepy puppet mask.
Yesterday I carved our pumpkin in, you guessed it, a cat's face. I don't have pictures yet, but rest assured, I will. It turned out pretty good, after all.
And to go along with the cat motif, my new cell phone meows when people call me. I love it. I figured out how to take any mp3 and make it a ring tone. I can also do the same thing with wallpaper for the phone. No reason to buy graphics or ringtones from any of those sites now.
Tomorrow, I'm thinking about going to play poker in my costume. I'm not sure if they are having it or not, though. Hubby wants to stick around the house more to give out candy to the kids. I figure that will be fun for a while, but I would rather go play some poker if I'm feeling up to it and they are going to have it.
It looks like I may have this week in the bag for Fantasy Football. I have one more player to play tomorrow night and my opponent has a few, but I'm 50 points ahead of him already. If I do win, then it should put me in 4th place overall as I did quite well last weekend. I think the top 4 go into playoffs, so my goal right now is to stay up in the top 4.
I also played chess the other night for the first time since 2002. I ended up losing, but the game took a while and it was pretty foggy because it was the night after 2 nights of little to no sleep. I'm surprised I lasted that long. I was really 'zoned'. I think I need to play some more, but this time, I should be a bit more rested.
Eh, I guess that's enough for now.

Cute Mask!
Hope your day off ends with you feeling better.
Thanks! Hope you had a fun Halloween too.
Great costume! I would have definitely chosen that had I dressed up this year.
Thanks, Leesa!
